Something about TIME...

There’s nothing much to say about this picture. We’ve found this strange clock, when we were lost between Shibuya and Harajuku… As you’ve also probably noticed there are decorating clocks all around the city but I don’t really understand why they have so many. The picture isn’t very good, but you can still have an idea.

Artist in Harajuku

In France you can see artists everywhere in the streets, but it was the first time I saw someone painting in the streets of Tokyo. Showing what you’re work in the streets is a good way of being notice by people. Close to Harajuku station, in front of the strange dressed girls of yoyogi park, this man was selling those pretty girls and I’m proud to say that I’ve bough one. It’s not great art, but I like it. In Paris you also have all the people that are drawing beautiful landscapes in front of la Seine, I like to go there on Sundays’…

Refreshing Shibuya

I’ve been to Shibuya many times during my stay, but this week end was the first time I saw this strange drawing on the top of those vending machines. It’s representing a woman drinking a soda, it’s pretty and fun, you really want it especially when it's as sunny as last Sunday! Shibuya is a very young district and I was surprise not to find some younger arty design.

As you’ve probably notice I love when people add their own touch to something, and all around those drawings there also is stickers, of different people. It might to seem clean to some people, but I like it…

Castle

As we were walking around in Ebizu, we found this amazing castle created by Joel Robuchon, where you can find three of his restaurant. This very famous French cook has an impressive influence here in Tokyo. He has created an area that looks like European streets which is very cute and well maintain. Even though the castle is the main piece of this “garden place”, you can also find a lot of impressive work of art, like those clocks, showing the time of many cities of the world.
Tokyo really is fool of surprises.

Cute drawings

Close to Ebizu station I saw underneath a tunnel those amazing drawings. They’re representing the four seasons of the year: Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. This really decorates the streets; it is pretty and pleasant to look. Those drawings are like manga backgrounds with light colors and perfect shapes. I was really impressed to see this in the street, and I find it very cute, this artist who has sign his drawings with this strange head, has a lot of talent.

Robots

Behind Roppongi hills I found this strange robot pyramid. As I was intrigued by it so I got closer and found a kinder garden, it was the first one I saw in Tokyo. And I didn't unexpected to find one close to this luxurious district. Children were thrilled to play with all those swings and slide. And can’t hide the fact that I’ve enjoyed it too...

Roppongi hills

Roppongi hills is an incredible place because the whole streets are full of work of art!! My favorite one is this kind of living room. I don't know much about the artist or the exact meaning of this sculpture but I love it. Those hills all around Tokyo are always pretty impressive because many beautiful pieces of art are putted in front of important buildings. Even though some can be awful I love them because they are decorative and only this city can afford to put art like this in the street as no one will never destroy them.
In Paris we once had an exhibition in the streets, (that also had been in Tokyo and in NYC) there were cows made by different artists, spread all around the city and most of them had been damage.
